BIO
Born in Bletchley, UK, I studied at Bristol Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art, London. I live in the UK, and currently teach at Loughborough University on the MA Graphic Design and Visualisation Programme.

CAREER
Practising as a freelance creative for 30 years, my working style has evolved through a range of processes
from printmaking and papercut to digital techniques. Using a limited colour palette, I compose my imagery from manipulated photographic material, marks, textures and drawn elements. I merge this content using digital techniques to bring a soft ethereal quality to my work. Subjects have been wide ranging, covering education, lifestyle, health, finance, fiction, history, and science. Clients have included major international magazines and newspapers, book publishers, design studios, and advertising agencies. My first commission was for Vogue magazine and my working processes and imagery have appeared in creative publications such as Adobe Layers Designer Spotlight feature and Photoshop User. I have created maps for National Geographic Traveler, a series of illustrations for BBC 'Who do you think you are?' magazine, and a billboard poster for the World Wildlife Fund on display in Toronto's famous Dundas Square. I have been pleased to accept invitations to participate in fundraising exhibitions and events for the Eden Project, The Fisherman's Mission, and John Frieda's celebrity art exhibition for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
